qinetiq: metaphysics - electronic [2021]

A smaller ep I did, really focusing on honing in my composition and mixing skills. This is also the first release I have using hardware in addition to the DAW. The ability to physically interact with the instrument as you’re creating music allows so much more organic freedom to the sound. The flow of this album is really nice in my opinion, and doesn’t linger anywhere too long. The mix is a little bit too much in the forefront at times though, as I can tend to be a bit heavy handed and overindulgent with effects and automation once I get rolling on them.
